Monday night everything was fine. I could post on my blogs and life was good. Tuesday after work, I discovered that the not so fine folks at Blogger had migrated all my blogs to what they call ‘new blogger’, supposedly a better form of blogger that offers new features. Well, I tried to log into blogger using my blogger username and password - nothing. Tried logging into new blogger with my google account name and password - again nothing. I was redirected to the blogger help site. What kind of help did I get? Canned how to articles that did nothing but lead me around in circles. Then I clicked on every option available to try to contact an actual employee of blogger, but it took me over an hour to find a form to complete to submit to them. And it wasn’t a ‘report a problem’ form. I went to the google help group and found that many, many others were suffering from the same problem I had. Did google employees help us? One employee posted the same canned answer that we found at blogger help. And he said ‘if this doesn’t work then contact us directly at (insert website). This kind of thing may be best solved on an individual basis.” Well, when you click on that website link, it takes you back to the page where I clicked everything I could to try to find a ‘help me’ form to fill out. After all this, I posted my own comment on the google help group website detailing every step I had taken. I wrote everything down and did it three or four times so I know what I tried and what I didn’t. To date no google tech support person has responded to anyone on that forum that has the same problem I did. Finally, some other blogger supplied the answer and it involved tinkering with the address of a link that blogger supplies us when we ask to retrieve our passwords. Basically, that link that we got when we asked to retrieve our passwords was reading our usernames as Case Sensitive, but when Blogger tried to find our accounts, it was not reading our usernames as Case Sensitive so it wouldn’t recognize us. That is a programming problem that blogger and google tech support are just too lazy to fix. So, instead, they let their customers flounder in frustration.

Bottom line: Blogger/Google Tech support is not serving the customers. They would rather spend their time making money in corporate mergers and stock options, lying to investors by saying that Google is a good company that provides valuable goods and services to the public when in actuality they ignore the customers and do not service their products to the satisfaction of the end users. Or, they are goofing off in a lax workplace in which productivity is not emphasized, but playing with toys is. Word to investors - if the tech support won’t help the people the company serves, then the company doesn’t care about you either. Sell your stock and invest your money in money market accounts or IRAs or Certificates of Deposit. You’d be better off.

No one died. Dylan was victorious. I was sort of expecting a miraculous appearance by some Vedrans, but it didn't happen. I almost didn't get to see the episode. It just had to come a big thunderstorm during the show. I was worried the satellite might go out, but it didn't. Thank goodness.

The Heart Of The Journey, Part 1

Pretty good episode. I didn't see the previews for this one, so it was a nice change of pace to not know what was coming. I can't believe Rhade left Dylan. What I would like to know is, if Trance's people are so powerful, then why can't they destroy the Abyss without destroying the 3 galaxies? And as I was watching the episode and the head woman for Trance's people was explaining to Dylan that the essence of the 3 galaxies will continue to exist after they destroy them but just as matter/energy blah, blah, blah, I began to wonder if the Abyss would also continue to exist? There is always going to be evil and good in the universe. Destroying it once, twice, three times, won't get rid of it. You have to defeat it so soundly that it will not rise up again. Like when the Fonz runs the bad hoodlums out of Arnolds' place on Happy Days.

Chaos and the Stillness of it

Good episode. The fighting didn't look all that impressive, but Rhade had some good parts. And it's good to have the Real Trance back. I've read some spoilers for the next few episodes. Sounds interesting. And I'm glad Burma's gone. Man, was he annoying.

One More Day's Light

What did I like about this episode? Doyle and Rommie worked well together. I don't care much for evil Trance but I don't think I'm supposed to like her, so in that respect, they are doing a fine job with her. Harper and the evil villain are missing. And the villain is a very classic one - he contradicts himself and his mindless followers rationalize his actions. This was also a very good Rhade episode. And I found myself wondering if Beka can let herself fall into these stupid traps, why did whatshisname base the Nietzschean race on her? Looking back through the years, Beka really hasn't been all that smart about some things.

Anyway, next week continues the story of this villain. I saw the preview and the villain has red glowing eyes, similar to that of one abysmal entity. And it seems that Evil Trance is working with the villain. Should be interesting...

Quantum Tractate Delirium

This episode rocked! The Doyle and Rommie fight scenes were spectacular. This week, Trance appeared to be evil Trance, but it was hard to tell. Yes, she was more menacing than usual. But there were two different outcomes to her meddling. One, she facilitated the Rommie and Doyle interaction that led to Rommie becoming her old self - that was good. Two, she antagonized Rhade about his family back in the known universe which led him to falling off the wagon and staying drunk for most of the episode - doesn't seem like a good thing. But perhaps that was her way of inspiring Rhade to help get out of Seefra? Reminding him of what he left behind?? And Virgil the DJ is back, so that is a third Trance. I still don't know why Dylan didn't use the gates that whatshisname guards to evacuate Seefra 9. Maybe the doorway and the halls wouldn't funnel enough through in time??? Oh well. I wish they would have told us what Rommie felt betrayed over. They didn't seem to cover that. Wonder what next week will be about? Can't wait for the next promo on the website...

Totaled Recall

Finally a new episode. And it had to be a dimensional shifting, multiple universe thing. Those give me headaches. Especially when Dad is asking tons of questions because he never watches the show and he just wants to keep me from watching it. But it was a good episode. I liked the Doyle/Dylan parts. This episode didn't really advance the season much. Just that thanks to something to do with exotic matter, Andromeda is now at 100% full power. Which means that Rommie is not too far away!! I hear she comes back next week maybe. I can't wait. And hopefully the Trance we have now is Good Trance. She didn't seem evil this week but I don't think this episode was meant to reflect on recent happenings. There is a link to the promo for next week's show floating around on the web. I haven't watched it yet. Takes forever for it to load on a dial up connection. But hopefully, I'll get to see it sometime this weekend.

Tonight's episode was a re-run so I didn't watch it. I recently bought a really big book of Neitzsche works. I've only managed to read a few pages of it so far. It feels too much like homework and I haven't had homework to do in 5 years. I noticed that an Andromeda fan actually found my blog! Thanks for the post. I guess I should explain a little bit about myself now that I know that I'm not the only one reading this blog. I'm a number cruncher, which means I feel very little in the way of sympathy or compassion. I love spoilers. You may see them often here. If you don't like it then don't come here until after you see the episode that is airing for the week. Luckily for you all, I never can seem to find spoilers for Andromeda. I managed to find one and that was probably a major coup. And I do try to avoid posting comments about the Promo Clip that the official website has posted for viewing before the episode airs. I was more cautious about spoilers when I thought my friend Polly would come here to read my blog. Polly hates spoilers. But she never comes here. I don't like negative criticism of the show. If you want to express negative comments about the show, then there are plenty of other places on the Web to do that. And you'll have plenty of new friends because a lot of people, for some reason, love to criticise the show. As I've said before, I would hate to see how they would criticise Shakespeare's work.

Saving Light From a Black Sun

This was a pivotal episode. They fixed the broken sun - Yay. They may or may not have the right Trance - Boo. That's the only part I don't like about what they've done. But not because I could have written it better or because they are 'ruining' the show. But because I don't want to have to wait for months to see the crew possibly about to leave the Seefra system and leave good Trance behind, imprisoned by evil Trance. This is where I would skip to the last few pages of the book to see how the book ends, if I were reading a book. Anyway, this episode was good for many reasons. One - Trance and Rhade had some really good scenes. Two - Andromeda now has enough power to get Rommie back and leave Seefra. I hear that Rommie will in fact be back by the end of the show. There's something about her and Doyle doing a fight scene in an upcoming episode. Can't wait for that.

This episode was pretty good. Kind of predictable. But at least I figured out who the mystery woman really was before Dylan had to tell me. Most of the time, I have to wait for the big reveal. That's mostly because I don't put much effort in trying to figure things out and keep notes on continuity and such. So what if they screw something up - like Drago's bones being on the Andromeda now when Tyr took them a couple of seasons ago or whatever it is the whiners on that horrible message board were talking about. I watch the show to be entertained and entertained I am.

Moonlight Becomes You

This episode was a really good Trance episode. She found love, but it was not to be. And we learned more about her. Rhade and Beka are having a tough time dealing with the fact that Beka is now partly responsible for the whole Nitezchean race. I'm glad they are still talking about that and that they didn't just forget it. Next week's episode is another Trance episode and it looks to be even better. I can't wait for it.

A few comments about message boards. There is one message board I read whose members all hate Andromeda. All they ever post are negative comments about it. I don't know why they watch a show they hate and I don't know why they expend that much energy to complain about it. For 4 years, all we've heard from these people is "why can't we learn more about Trance? When will we find out more about Trance?" Well, now we are finding out more about her and they still aren't happy. I think they are under a really bad misconception that they have created and written the show. And they, of course, have not. The show is not their property. They do not direct its future. They are only the audience. This is not a choose your own adventure show. If you don't like the show, stop watching it. As for me reading the posts on this particular message board - I have stopped reading most of the andromeda posts, simply because these people do nothing but try to ruin the show for the rest of the fans. Finding a positive comment on said message board is extremely rare.

Spectacular episode. We found out that Beka is the female that started the whole Nietzschean race! So, Rhade can thank Beka for his existence and Tyr was stupid for missing out on a relationship with her when he had a chance. Bet Beka will get a kick out of that when she thinks of it after what Tyr did to them. LOL! And Harper has restored full power to the Andromeda, so things should move a little more quickly now. Maybe. This was the 100th episode and they aired some outtakes at the end from various shows over the years. Everyone loves outtakes.

Through a Glass, Darkly

This was a great Harper episode. Hohne returned and Harper was able to work through some old feelings he had about Hohne falling into the slipstream core a couple of seasons ago. In this episode, Hohne and Harper try to rebuild the teleporter that was built a few seasons ago that sent Dylan back in time to Sarah. In rebuilding the teleporter, they discover a link between the Andromeda, and maybe even Dylan, and the black hole that held him for 300 years. Dylan thinks it's possible to go back to that time before the ambush and try to prevent the fall of the commonwealth, again. Luckily, it doesn't happen. Dylan needs to accept that there's no going back. You just have to make the best of what you have now. Anyway, Hohne sacrifices himself so that Harper and everyone else in the Seefra system can live. As it was supposed to be. Hohne had to disappear back then so he could show up now and inspire Harper to return to his genius ways and give up his bartending career. Because, if the Andromeda crew is ever going to escape the Seefra system, they will all need to work together and they will need Harper's genius to do it.

They had sunk to new lows in the 'everyone for themselves' mentality and needed this kind of wake up call. And I liked how Trance was there for Dylan.

And it will also give people a chance to pick up on clues that they might have missed the first time around.

What Will Be Was Not

So, we now have been told about 5 or 6 times that Dylan is a Paradine. It's time to move past that and get on with the season. Aside from that, this was a good episode. Especially for Trance who had a bit of fairytale romance for once on this show. And Andromeda is now at 70% power. Yay! You would think if the others were so wanting to escape the Seefra System they would be helping Dylan get Andromeda back to full power instead of charging him an arm and a leg for their help when he needs it. Then they turn around and complain that Dylan is the reason they are stuck there. I hope they have one of those Scrooge/Ghosts of Christmases moments and they realize how mean they are being to Dylan.

Finally, an episode where all the crew was pretty much working together like old times. Yay! We didn't learn much about Dylan's powers or their purpose for this season, but it was a good episode.

Attempting Screed

We learned that paradines are Vedrans, so Dylan is a Vedran as was his father. Okay. A good episode in that we learned a bit more about Dylan, but not so much about what this season's purpose is. Trance had some screen time in this one, which is good. And we got to see Harper, Doyle and Rhade work together on some scam. There is a rumor that this show may live on as a spinoff, so maybe we were seeing a bit of things to come with those three.

When Goes Around

I normally hate time travel and time loop stories, but this one was pretty good. We learned that Trance has different powers, or maybe more precisely, previously unknown powers. The Andromeda crew brought rain to Seefra 1. We learned a lot about the Vedrans and the Route of Ages and stuff. And Dylan fell in love. Again. It was a good episode. And it was really good to see Harper on the Andromeda. I don't think we've seen him there before this episode.

The Eschatology of Our Present

Finally, we have some clue as to what the purpose of this season is. Dylan and the others must set out to fix the technologically engineered, failing sun of the Seefra System. Although next week, Dylan takes a break from saving Seefra to fall in love. Again. Well, we couldn't go for very long without a love interest for our hero. This week's episode was a good Beka episode. I liked how Rhade and Doyle worked together. And it looks like Older Trance is Virgil Voxx, the Disc Jockey. Dylan and Rhade killed the chief tech cop and his thugs this week. I wonder if that will be a bad thing in the coming weeks. Never good to kill the head of the 'law' in whatever world you're in.

Andromeda Producers have some sense

I was checking out the message boards today and came across an excerpt from an interview Bob Engels did with some magazine. In the excerpt quoted on the mb, Engels stated that complying with the viewers wishes for the show's direction would have killed the show. Yay!!! I'm glad to see that the show's producers and such have the sense to see beyond the whiners who want to remake the show over into their own selfish fan fiction outlet. It's great that the show's producers are committed to the direction they have cultivated over the last four years. It's their show, let them produce it.

Decay of the Angel

Another good episode, but there was no Trance. Oh well, if she had been used in the episode, it probably would have made things too easy. I liked the sword and wig gag; it was cute. I felt like I was watching the blooper reel from a dvd. We still don't know what Dylan's purpose is for the season, but hopefully that will come soon. And I really don't like seeing Andromeda, the ship, all beat up and ugly. I hope they restore her to some semblance of glory soon.

I read some comments on the message boards, and once again people are trying to write the episodes themselves. It should have been done this way, they should have made Argent and his followers descendents of Harper's android creations rising up against him - blah, blah, blah. That's not what the story was about, and that's not what the season is about. And they aren't the writers. Fan fiction is at the heart of all this negativity. Fan fiction will be the death of tv.

Phear Phactor Phenom

This was another really good episode. They found Harper and Doyle and what was left of Rommie in this episode. So, now we can finally get to the point of the season. What is Dylan's goal? And Harper wasn't angry at Dylan like those message board posters claimed all the people were mad at Dylan. Also, there were two Trances in this episode. Along with two suns in the system they are in. No coincidence there I think. There was a lot of heart in this episode. Harper's feelings for Rommie and the people he created in the three years he's been in the Seefra system. Dylan's feelings when he saw Rommie's head. I expected Beka to have more feelings for Harper than she did. They worked together for years before meeting Dylan. So, it looks like Rhade's comment from last week about Beka's lack of loyalty now has an element of truth to it. Next week, Doyle is supposed to learn about her true nature - I'm guessing she doesn't know she's an android. That should be good. And I just noticed something - Doyle -- Dylan. Kinda similar.

TV Update

For those of you who don't know, the SciFi channel has Andromeda Tuesdays every Tuesday. From 7pm to 11pm they air four Andromeda episodes back to back. I've watched a couple of them. They are on season 1 right now and I have those on DVD, so I can see them anytime. But lately, there hasn't been much on tv, so I've checked out Andromeda Tuesdays.

Need to Stay Away From the Message Boards

Once again I found myself on a message board wondering if these people saw the same episode I did. I really think they have written so much fan fic and that they have criticized the show so much that they actually don't see what's right in front of them. For example, last night's episode did not show Beka hating Dylan with a passion. But, more than once on a message board I visit, these people are saying that she hates him. One person said she hated him for abandoning her. Well, hello, she left him first before all heck broke loose with the Magog. And when she did think better of it and come back, she wasn't cussing him or trying to kill him or anything. She said she was going back for Rhade and Harper and took off to let Dylan go through the route of ages. The person on the message board said that Dylan abandoned her by not forgetting about the route of ages and backing her up when she got in trouble. Well, he did tell Beka that his controls were jammed and he couldn't turn back to help her. Guess the "holy keepers of the Andromeda lore" on these message boards conveniently forgot that one.

The Weight: Part 2

I just watched this episode and I thought it was great. Rhade and Dylan have a great relationship. Better than the old Captain and soldier relationship they had last season. And Beka didn't hate Dylan like other people said on message boards. She just wanted to protect herself after nearly dying. Completely understandable. And Trance has returned, although she can't be touched, which will make things very difficult I would think. No more touching kissy farewells like she and Dylan shared last season. She also doesn't remember anyone or anything but Dylan. He is pretty hard to forget. Next week, they find Harper and Doyle but apparently Harper has released some kind of virus onto the human population of where ever he is. The commercial showed Dylan saying "people are dying" and then he asked Harper what he'd done. Harper said it was every man for himself. So, that will be interesting. I think Beka gets infected by whatever it is. Probably that wretched Begin2Search toolbar spyware that corrupted my computer. I wonder how Harper will feel when he finds out Beka, his one-time closest friend, is suffering because of what he's done. Oh yeah, tonight they found Andromeda, the ship. I guess they'll be stealing the Maru away from what's left of tonight's evil villain's organization next week?

I just read the episode description for this Friday's episode. Beka scheming with some guy who has claimed the Andromeda for his own??? How could Beka turn on Andromeda like that? It isn't like Dylan made her stay to fight the Magog in last season's ending episode. She chose to return to help Dylan and the others. I hope Dylan kicks her butt too like he did Rhade's.

The Weight, Part 1

So, the first episode of Season 5 has aired. It was pretty good. Not enough though. Dylan only found Rhade, not the others. I was hoping to see all of them again in the first episode, but I figured if a half an hour went by and we were just seeing Rhade, then we wouldn't get to see the others this week. I don't know exactly what's going on in the episode though. I guess I'm supposed to believe that remnants of the Andromeda Ascendant have been used to build the village on Seefra 1?? Someone on a message board suggested that they recognized part of the Maru. I would like to know what happened to the Dylan from the last episode of season 4. He can't be this Dylan because when this Dylan woke up on Seefra 1, he was wearing a coat and the Dylan from season 4 entered the Route of Ages without a coat. I just love alternate universes and time travel and all that sci-fi crap. It gives me a headache. I do like the "Outlaw" side of Rhade :)

The actor has just started the process of meeting with producers and writers. I've been watching Season 2 on dvd this weekend. For the life of me, I don't see how so many people on these internet message boards can say this show is bad. I like the show and it makes sense to me. True, they skip over some technical explanations, but that was one of the main things that bored me with Post Original Series Star Trek. If I wanted science lessons, I'd watch TLC or PBS. I mean really, do you honestly think Picard understood all that technobabble? No, when he said, "Make it so," he didn't understand what was involved, it just sounded good to him and it was coming from people who had succeeded in their techno-efforts in the past. What really gets me are these people who believe that the show is bad just because it isn't being done the way THEY want it to be done. More Tyr, Less Dylan, More Trance with a tail, Less Trance with the weird head-dress, No Dylan, Dead Dylan, whine, whine, whine. I suppose if they went to see a play, they would be telling the actors to change the scenes to fit the ending they would rather see. Thank goodness Shakespeare isn't around to see this.

Well, they say change is supposed to be good, but I'll wait and see....

When I first heard that they were going to have a new avitar for at least part of season 5, I decided to keep an open mind and wait until I saw a few episodes before voicing an opinion. But then I saw this. Someone on a website posted this link and said this is who the new avitar will be and what the new avitar will look like. So, now I can say that I'm concerned. The costume has me thinking of that Flashdance movie and I don't think the people in charge of the show really want their viewers to be taken back to the 1980's when the show is set a few thousand years into the future. Or maybe I'm getting a reminder of the Flash Gordon movie. Or Buck Rogers. Maybe Gil Gerard will make a guest appearance.

The folks at the Official Site of Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda are compiling a list of everyone's favorite scenes from the last four seasons and prior to the start of Season 5, they will be airing those episodes. So, if any of you have favorite scenes from any of the first four seasons, go here and submit the scene for consideration. I already submitted my favorite scene from season 4 - it was in the last episode when Dylan kissed Trance goodbye. Although I did watch Fear and Loathing in the Milky Way today and I might nominate a scene from that episode as well. It was a really good Trance episode. And it had the quote about being as nervous as Trance in a room full of rocking chairs - LOL That's funny. For those who don't get it, Trance used to have a tail.

I just checked my email and found that ADV Films, the people who put out the Andromeda dvds, had responded to my question that I'd sent them. I had asked if they planned to release a season 2 box set like they did for season one. And the reply......... YES! It will be released JULY 27, 2004. I'll have to keep checking ebay to see if anyone will be selling it.

Do I watch more episodes from Season 1 tonight, or do I watch Design Rules, a show on BBC America, hosted by Laurence Llewelyn Bowen? Hmmm..... I might have to do both. I watched Harper 2.0 last night and discovered that the Abyss has been a part of the series since early season 1. From all the whiney, Tyr loving and Kevin Sorbo hating posters on the internet message boards, I got the impression, wrongly as I discovered last night, that the series had started off well and only just recently (since the Great and Special Tyr left) went to h-e-double hockey sticks with all this Abyss and Route of Ages stuff. I personally like that stuff and think the show's pretty good. It's entertaining, and it doesn't get all bogged down in techno-babble like Star Trek. Andromeda is a people oriented show and I think that's great. It's more like ST: The Original Series than Next Generation or any of the other Star Trek series.

Well, now that I've offended tens of millions of Star Trek fans, I think I'll beat a hasty retreat................. :)

Talk about a cliffhanger! Well, I can't really talk about the cliffhanger because Polly hasn't seen it yet and I don't want to ruin it for her. But, suffice it to say, it was a very good episode. I can't wait to see what they have planned for next season. Alternate universe? Continuation of the universe they are in? I will be checking out all the message boards for the rest of the summer to see what I can find out.

Oh, and on a side note, in last night's Alias season finale, the secret code phrase Sark used to make contact with his contact was a quote by Nietzsche, I believe. Thought that was cute.

Who needs a site meter when I've got common sense to tell me no one's visiting this blog. I had a typo in the last post and no one posted any comments about it. Meaning, no one's been here to read it. Maybe I should do something cheesy to get more people to visit this site. Like post about all the things that get visitors to my other site. Season Finale, Part 2

I found screen caps of part 2 of the season finale on this website. The episode looks really good. There is one screen cap of Dylan kissing Trance. I don't know what that's about but it looked like a really sweet scene between the two of them. But I think we're going to be left with one of those ambiguous cliffhangers. That stinks. I hate cliffhangers. It's been my experience with tv that every time I start liking a show it gets cancelled, so I really, really don't want a cliffhanger. But I've been assured on the internet that Andromeda has been picked up for another season.

I think I have covered the main characters of the show. So, now what do I do? I think I will feature the Nietzschean race in this post. The Nietzscheans play an important role in the series. They rebelled against the Commonwealth and destroyed most order and law for over 300 years. Then, when order and law was being restored by Dylan and his crew, the Nietzscheans struck again. Here is the official description for the Nietzschean people from the Andromeda website. Naturally, I like the Nietzscheans. Well, the three Nietzscheans that served with Dylan on Andromeda anyway. They have a similar appeal to that of the Four Horsemen of famed NWA wrestling history. Sometimes they are bad, but when they are, they are sooo good at being bad.

Brent Stait played Rev Bem on Andromeda. Rev is a Magog wayist. A Magog is a vicious furry alien. Click here for the official description of the Magog species. A wayist is a peaceloving religious person. So, it's an interesting contradiction. I heard a story that Brent Stait couldn't continue playing Rev Bem because the make-up used to transform the actor into the character was too irritating to his skin. So, hopefully Brent is feeling a lot better. A later episode had his character go through some kind of transformation in which he lost a lot of his Magog looks. Keith Hamilton Cobb is no longer with the series, but I figured tons of women everywhere would really be ticked if I didn't make a special mention for him. KHC, as his name is abbreviated, played the character of Tyr Anasazi on Andromeda. It was a really good character. He was a Nietzschean who was a part of the Andromeda crew, then did some diabolical things and then ended up betraying the Andromeda crew. But Tyr was one of those classic bad guys who shared a Professor Xavier/Magneto kind of relationship with Dylan. Their different philosophies mandated that the betrayal would take place.

Steve Bacic plays Rhade on Andromeda. Both Gaheris and Telemachus Rhade. No, they aren't twins, Telemachus is a descendant of Gaheris's. Anyway, Rhade is Nietzschean (I've seen that word spelled countless different ways, so I've decided to spell it that way). The Nietzscheans are a fierce race of warriors who rebelled against the peace-loving Commonwealth and destroyed it. I'm sure there are doctoral theses out there examining the Nietzschean culture so it shouldn't be too hard for you to look up some info. In fact, I'll probably link to some just to help you out. Rhade is one of my favorite characters. I liked Gaheris for betraying his best friend, Dylan (I'm a sucker for the bad boy) and I like Telemachus because is isn't Gaheris. Although he got all sappy last night falling for that Nietzschean woman, which really wasn't my favorite moment of his. Here's a link to a Steve Bacic fan site.

I just saw a commercial for next week's season ending episode. It shows Dylan asking Rommie what the condition of his crew is and she says they're all DEAD!!!! GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! Now I have to go in search of spoilers to see what the heck is going to happen. I'll never make it a whole week not knowing. Shame on these people for leading us on!!!

Gordon Michael Woolvett plays Seamus Harper on Andromeda. Harper is the engineer guy on the show. He could be considered the comic relief, but can get pretty serious when he has to. Woolvett's probably one of the best actors since he can be both funny and dramatic and be 100% convincing. He makes everything, even the glossed over technical descriptions, seem real and believable. And Woolvett has his own website. Check it out here...

I thought I would find out a little more about an actor from Andromeda I haven't featured yet, Steve Bacic, so I googled and went to TVTOME. There I found out that Steve Bacic, who plays Geheris and Telemachus Rhade on Andromeda also played Dr. Hank McCoy in the X-Men 2 movie! I couldn't believe that. I hope this website isn't wrong. It would be great to see an Andromeda actor in such a high profile role in maybe the third installment of the movie franchise.

Laura Bertram plays Trance Gemini on Andromeda. Trance is a mysterious figure who started out purple and with a tail, but a season or two into the show she changed into a kick butt gold colored person. She is supposed to see all the different possibilities of every action that is taken, or something like that. I think she might have some of the best lines on the show. Getting Down to Business

First things first. Here is a link for the backstory of the show, Andromeda.

Basically, the show takes place thousands of years in the future. At one time, thousands of alien worlds were united in a Great Commonwealth, kinda like a United Nations. Then the Nietzscheans rebelled against the Commonwealth and it was destroyed, leaving behind chaos that has existed for about 300 years. Then along comes Captain Hunt, who wanted to rebuild the Commonwealth, they succeeded, and then it was attacked again.

I left out a lot of important stuff in that brief synopsis, so you really should check out the backstory.

I finally got a site counter on this blog. I had the toughest time with it. Every time I tried to add it to the template, I would get this huge void between the Blog Title and the most recent post. I signed up for Bravenet services for this blog and had Bravenet send the email with the temporary password to my @Rednecks.com email account and hours later, I still hadn't received it.
